TOUCH/CAST NEXT
TOUCH/CAST NEXT is a full-service brand activation shop, where we believe ‘digital’ is the glue that holds any campaign together.
We have a wealth of specialist knowledge and experience in providing innovative and effective brand activation solutions with outstanding, measurable results.
It’s no longer enough to merely ‘push’ advertising at consumers, nor to just provide information online for consumers to graze upon and find (pull) – today is all about activating those consumers by intriguing, engaging and involving them.
This is the age of consumer participation – marketers now have to provide the environment and motivation to encourage consumers to interact and have a meaningful experience with their brands.
This is not just talk - in a very short time, we have been recognized by our peers with many industry awards, within New Zealand and internationally.
Key Team Members
Andrew Hawley - Creative Director, Partner
Andrew Hawley, a strategic creative, has an extensive background in web, mobile and youth marketing. He founded what is still one of New Zealand's leading interactive web agencies in 1999 as well as help establish what is now a global ISP.
After four years of 'startup', Andrew then spent two years having a great time working at leading New Zealand agency Clemenger BBDO as Youth Strategist working on clients such as LTNZ, ACC, Mainland and Mitsubishi.
Following his time with the Clemenger team, Andrew headed off once more, this time to establish indie digital agency, TOUCH/CAST/NEXT (TCN), with a small group of like-minded partners, having huge success with projects such as the record-breaking and award winning campaigns, Rock, Paper, Scissors and Push the Button, both for Telecom Mobile, as well as New Zealand Police's online recruitment programme, and Weta's new e-commerce and community website, wetanz.com.
During this time Andrew's efforts have been recognised with 4 Golds & 2 Silvers at the RSVPs, two Silvers and a Gold at the Caples in New York and a couple of finalists at Cannes and has judged at the Clio award in Miami and Axis Awards in New Zealand.
Andrew currently runs TCN, and continues to supervise Creative Direction and Business Development, managing key accounts such as Telecom, Contact Energy, Weta Ltd, New Zealand Police, Holding Pictures and several key agency partner relationships.
Mark Glenn - Design Director, Partner
Mark kicked off his career in one of New Zealand's leading interactive/mobile agencies back at the turn of the millennium. Here he found himself strangely at home with both creative thinking and technical execution, scribbling storyboards or hand-coding web pages. This mildly schizophrenic duality seemed to prove useful, with Mark delivering acclaimed work for clients such as Telecom Mobile, Pulsate Mobile, DJuice, Firm FM and Smokefree New Zealand.
Seeking enlightenment, Mark next moved to London to (successfully) expand his horizons. He spent 6 years working for marketing, advertising and print agency Vertis, marketing specialist Lateral Group and creative agency Loudspeaker. During his time at these agencies Mark learnt many valuable lessons about exceeding expectations, realising big ideas and delivering results. Teaching him these lessons were clients such as Apple, Everest, HSBC, O2, Superdrug, Tiffanys, Virgin Megastores and Xbox.
Recently, or rather one dismal summer too many, the call of home proved too much with Mark finally returning home to New Zealand after promising to do so steadily year on year. Now part of the TOUCH/CAST NEXT team, Mark's creative schizophrenia is being used to full effect working on concepts and campaigns for a new set of clients. Mark always aims to deliver work that squeezes both sides of the brain - stimulating and intriguing in idea, detailed and technically sound in execution. It's probably for this reason that he fits in so well.
