Weta - Website
After many months in the making TOUCH/CAST NEXT completed the design and build of the new Weta website; www.wetanz.com. Working with longtime partners Doubleclique to execute the project, Weta’s new site now contains detailed information on Weta, past projects, a global online store and specifically developed community features including user created comments, ratings, favourites and wish lists. Also included is the implementation of an advanced content management system.

This project is a significant milestone for TCN says Creative Director, Andrew Hawley; “We’re really proud of the final product; it’s a pretty challenging task to create something that does the brilliant work of Weta the justice it deserves, but with the Weta team’s help and Richard Taylor’s guidance, the new site is now a great platform to showcase their work, services and the range of collectables they sell. It’s been an incredibly complex project – perhaps one of the most complex in New Zealand considering what it’s capable of doing. It’s also been a challenging one considering the broad range of functions the site had been required to deliver, and the diverse range of users, fans and communities it’s aimed at. Once again, Mark Glenn, our design director, has done an impeccable job on the interface design and site flow, and Luke and his team at Doubleclique have gone beyond the call of duty to deliver some fantastic technical smarts and robust solutions to ensure the entire experience at www.wetanz.com is world-class.
